Iain brings together experience from systems integration and associated process re-engineering with automation, first with physical robots in manufacturing and latterly with software robots.
Over 20 years ago he worked in research and development to enable robots to work in abattoirs deconstructing carcasses, which is where he first came across neural networks.
He then worked in consulting for 10 years, in software development, and implementation. A brief stint leading an operational control team in group finance for a UK bank gave him good insight from a customer’s perspective of running financial reporting and ERP systems and the day-to-day processes involved (including applying Lean for process improvement). This lead to a period running a consulting practice for Oracle specializing in Enterprise Performance Management before moving into Software sales.
He is now pleased to be applying this experience in the world of software robots for Automation Anywhere, applying AI to those process tasks which have until recently been beyond the reach of computers.
